Bean & Bacon Soup Cook bacon in large pot or Dutch oven until crisp. Remove and
blot with paper towel to reduce grease. Reserve 2 tablespoons
of the bacon grease.
8 oz. Daily’s Deep Applewood Smoked Bacon To the 2 Tbsp. hot bacon grease, add onions, carrots, celery
(#8464), diced and garlic. Cook over medium heat until ingredients begin to
1 cup onions, diced (#5772) soften, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook an additional
1 cup carrots, diced (#5520 or #1349) minute. Stir in chicken broth and beans. Season to taste with
